AI Transformation in Legal Sector Explored in Stockholm

The Legal Transformation Network hosted a seminar titled “AI Nativeness vs. Grey Hairiness” at Bird & Bird’s Stockholm office, highlighting AI’s evolving role in legal services. Henri Schildt, Professor at Aalto University, emphasized that AI's future extends beyond chatbots and large language models (LLMs), advocating for specialized tools that balance usability and advanced functionality.

Key insights included shifting from isolated AI tools to team-level transformations that enhance efficiency and service delivery. Schildt noted that mastering AI tools could challenge traditional hierarchies, urging firms to address concerns about job security while promoting AI as a tool to streamline repetitive tasks.

The legal sector’s AI transformation will be gradual, focusing on optimizing processes, improving client services, and integrating AI with human expertise.
