High confidence in researchers in Sweden during the omicron wave
Traditional news media continue to be Swedes’ main source of news about the coronavirus. Researchers enjoy a high level of confidence and the lifting of restrictions in Sweden did not affect public confidence in the professional groups who comment on the coronavirus. These are the results of a follow-up survey conducted by VA to investigate communication about the coronavirus in Sweden.

Pratavaccin.se is a web portal developed by VA to help ordinary people address myths and misconceptions about the vaccines, using evidence-based advice and support. The platform is available in Swedish, English, Arabic and Somali.

Connections, conversations and science communication
The
EU Rethink project came to an end this month with a final online conference, run jointly with the
EU Tresca project, where participants discussed how science communication as a practice can help to build public trust. Rethink has produced a whole range of resources for use by science communication professionals including a
training navigator and briefs with
recommendations for improving science communication directed toward policymakers, researchers and practitioners.
