On September 8, the Sara Cultural Centre was inaugurated in Skellefteå in northern Sweden. The spectacular 20-story wooden building is one of the world’s highest timber structures. New ways of building high and using wood in other innovative ways is gaining wide international interest, and architects and city planners across the globe are eager to exchange knowledge on these topics. One of the indicators of this is the big interest in Woodlife Sweden – a new exhibition around contemporary wood architecture and building in Sweden, displaying 40 projects in different scales from all over the country. The exhibition was recently on display in Paris and Nairobi and will  shortly be popping up as both physical and digital events in New York, Istanbul and Dubai.
