We know that the United Kingdom is as an important market for our clients and we want to make sure we are doing everything we can to support continued sales to the region. With that in mind we are now preparing to release additional UK
country states for England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
The new states will be added to the
country selector in Centra
and we advise clients shipping to multiple UK states to
set individual tax rules for each. For example you may need one for Northern Ireland and another one for the rest of the UK, since regulations may differ between territories.
In order to minimise the risk of potential problems we have already informed frontend/integration providers about these new UK states and have asked them to make any necessary systems adjustments before
March 8th, when our changes will be deployed to live environments and our integration/plugin API's.
We kindly ask that you discuss these changes with integration providers to assure the new states can be supported in 3PL and Shipping systems for example.
